What Frico air curtains do you stock?

We stock Frico air curtains from the PA and ADA ranges covering commercial entrance widths from 1.0 metre to 2.0 metres. The PA-series air curtains are available in ambient (unheated) and electrically heated variants — ambient models create an air barrier across the doorway to separate indoor and outdoor climates without adding heat, while electrically heated models warm the incoming air stream for entrances in colder environments. The ADA range is a compact ambient air curtain designed for smaller doorways and lower ceiling heights. What Frico heaters do you stock?

We stock Frico radiant heaters from the HC and IHC ranges. The HC range is a ceiling-mounted radiant cassette heater designed for spot heating in high-ceiling commercial and industrial spaces — warehouses, workshops, loading bays and sports halls. The IHC range is an infrared radiant heater for targeted zone heating where convective heating is inefficient due to ceiling height or air movement. Radiant heaters warm surfaces and people directly rather than heating the air volume, making them more energy-efficient in large open spaces with high ceilings or frequent door openings. All Frico heaters we stock are electrically powered and suitable for ceiling or high-level wall mounting.

What is a Frico overdoor heater?

A Frico overdoor heater is an electrically heated air curtain mounted above a doorway that combines the climate-separating function of an air curtain with active heating of the air stream. This means it both prevents cold air from entering the building and warms the air passing through the entrance. The PA-series electrically heated air curtains in our range serve this overdoor heater function — they are available in widths from 1.0m to 2.0m and are suited to retail entrances, office reception doors and commercial building entrances where heat loss through the doorway is a concern. For unheated entrances or mild climates, the ambient (unheated) PA and ADA models provide the air barrier without the heating element.

How do I choose the right Frico air curtain?

Selecting a Frico air curtain depends on three factors: doorway width, mounting height and whether heating is needed. The air curtain should be at least as wide as the doorway opening — for wider entrances, multiple units can be mounted side by side. Mounting height determines the air velocity needed to maintain an effective barrier, so check the maximum recommended mounting height for each model against your ceiling or lintel height. If the entrance is in a heated building and heat loss is a concern, choose an electrically heated variant; if the entrance is in a mild climate or the building is unheated, an ambient model will provide the air separation without adding heat.
