What is the Frico HC6 used for?
It's a discreet radiant ceiling cassette for comfortable heating in offices, bathrooms, schools and similar rooms. It suits both total heating and spot heating, covering a larger area than the HC3.
How is the HC6 mounted?
It can be recessed into a false ceiling or surface-mounted, and at just 60 mm deep it sits flush and discreet. Recessed in a ceiling it's also well protected against damage.
How much heat does it give?
The HC6 is rated 600 W (0.6 kW) on a 230 V single-phase supply, drawing 2.61 A. For smaller areas the HC3 offers 300 W in a shorter panel.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
Yes, it carries an IP44 rating, making it suitable for damp environments such as bathrooms when installed correctly by a qualified electrician.
How does radiant heating work?
Rather than heating the air like a fan heater, the cassette radiates heat directly to people and surfaces below, which feels comfortable and avoids draughts. Recommended installation height is under 3 m.
