Weather Louvres
10 products
Weather louvres protect external openings, air-handling unit intakes, plant rooms, ductwork penetrations, and ventilation extracts, from wind-driven rain while letting air pass freely. Our standard external weather louvre handles most commercial and industrial applications. We also offer a made to order service where each louvre can be customised to any size, with a full RAL. Lead time is ten working days from drawing approval, and design drawings are issued with every order. For bespoke combinations, marine-grade stainless steel, or sizes outside our standard range, call our team or use the louvre quote form.
Made-to-Order Louvres & Grilles / Circular Weather Louvres / Square Weather Louvres
What's the difference between a weather louvre and a grille?
A weather louvre has angled blades designed to keep weather out — wind-driven rain, snow, and debris, while letting air pass. A grille has straight or single-deflection blades that direct or screen airflow without weather protection. Use a weather louvre on every external opening, and a grille for internal supply, return, and transfer applications. If you need both behaviours in one component — an external opening with controllable airflow — fit a volume control damper directly behind a weather louvre.
What free area do weather louvres give you?
Our standard external weather louvre provides approximately 50% free area — the proportion of the louvre face open to airflow. Free area matters because the more restrictive the louvre, the larger the face you need to pass the same airflow, and the higher the static pressure drop on the fan. We size every louvre against the project airflow on the quote, so you get the right face area first time.
Can I order weather louvres in custom sizes, colours, or stainless steel?
Yes — every weather louvre we supply is made to order. There is no minimum quantity, no fixed module size, and we offer the full RAL colour range with satin anodised aluminium as standard. Marine-grade 316 stainless steel is available for coastal and chemically aggressive environments. For openings larger than a single bank, we ship sectional units with site-jointing details and intermediate mullions specified on the drawing.
How fast can I get a bespoke weather louvre delivered?
Ten working days from drawing approval is our standard lead time — that covers manufacture, finishing, and delivery. We confirm sizes and finish within one working day of enquiry, issue drawings within one working day after that, then it is six working days in production and one for delivery. We do not quote shorter lead times we cannot hit; if you have a hard project deadline, tell us upfront and we will confirm what is achievable before you commit.
