Frequently asked questions

Why use non-penetrating roof supports?

Drilling through a flat roof to fix equipment creates a path for water and can affect the roof warranty. StrutFoot supports sit on the roof surface and spread the load, so nothing goes through the membrane.

Which StrutFoot support do I need?

SFR support feet suit light loads such as pipework, cable tray and small units. The H-Frame Kit raises equipment 305mm off the roof with a 350kg safe working load. The Support Systems are complete frames for larger plant: System 2 is rated to 700kg and System 6 to 1400kg, with System 4 in between.

Are they compatible with Unistrut?

Yes. StrutFoot supports use standard Unistrut type channel and are cross compatible with Unistrut brackets and fixings. The H-Frame Kit takes Unistrut channel, which is not supplied.

What are the feet made from?

SFR feet are moulded from recycled SBR rubber, weighted to reduce movement. The H-Frame Kit is made from high density polyethylene (HDPE). Anti-vibration pads are fitted to the feet of the H-Frame and Support Systems.

Do you supply supports for projects?

Yes. StrutFoot Support Systems are available in standard and bespoke configurations. Send us the equipment sizes and weights and we will quote: email hello@efans.co.uk or call 0161 399 3825.
