Vent-Axia Controllers

20 products

Vent-Axia controllers let you run a fan or ventilation unit at the speed the job needs, cutting noise and energy use and making it easy to balance a system. We stock SC and SP electronic speed controllers for single phase AC fans from 1.5A to 10A, including TK versions with motor thermal contact protection, the 150VA 5-speed transformer controller, RDTK 5-step auto-transformer controllers for three phase fans from 1A to 7A, controls for Vent-Axia MVHR and heat recovery units including the Sentinel Kinetic wired remote, Kinetic Advance WiFi controller and HR500 controller, plus T-Series controllers and the Timespan overrun timer, all with next working day delivery. Use the buttons below to filter by controller type, or send us the fan model and we will match the controller: email hello@efans.co.uk or call 0161 399 3825.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right Vent-Axia speed controller?

Start with the fan. Check whether it is single phase (230V) or three phase (400V), then find its full load current in amps on the rating plate or datasheet. Choose a controller rated at or above that current. If you are running more than one fan from one controller, add their currents together. For an MVHR or heat recovery unit, choose the controller made for that unit.

What is the difference between the SC and SP ranges?

Both give smooth, stepless speed control of single phase AC fans with automatic supply voltage detection and kick start or soft start. The SC range adds remote on/off contacts, an alarm output and adjustable minimum and maximum speed, and the TK versions connect to the fan motor's thermal contacts to shut it down if it overheats. The SP range is housed in a robust IP54 enclosure for commercial and industrial installations.

Which controller do I need for a three phase fan?

The RDTK range gives 5-step auto-transformer speed control for three phase AC fans from 1A to 7A. It runs the motor quietly across the speed steps, and with HOT SPOT protected fans it does not need a separate starter. It also has terminals for remote switching and an anti-freeze thermostat.

Which controllers work with Vent-Axia MVHR units?

The 443283 wired remote duplicates the on-board controls of Sentinel Kinetic MVHR units and comes with 15m of cable. The 409195 WiFi controller lets you monitor and control a Lo-Carbon Sentinel Kinetic Advance over WiFi. The W14301010 controls up to two HR500 or HR500X units, and the SENWZP zone panel controls up to eight Sentinel Heat Save units.

What are the T-Series controllers and Timespan for?

The W361119 is a 3-speed surface controller for Vent-Axia T-Series fans, with extract or intake operation and a sensor mode for external switches. The ECO 400 controls groups of T-Series units up to 400W. The Timespan 563519 runs a fan while the light is on and keeps it running for 5 to 25 minutes after it is switched off, which suits WCs and small rooms.

Can I use a Vent-Axia controller on another brand of fan?

Yes, for the general purpose speed controllers. The SC, SP and RDTK ranges will control any speed controllable AC fan within their voltage and current rating, whatever the brand. The MVHR and T-Series controllers only work with the Vent-Axia units they are made for.

Do you supply controllers for trade and projects?

Yes. We supply electricians, M&E contractors and facilities teams. Send us the fan models or a schedule and we will match each fan with the right controller. Call 0161 399 3825 or email hello@efans.co.uk.
