Manrose Fans
3 products
Manrose is one of the most recognised ventilation brands in the UK, with a product range covering bathroom fans, kitchen extract, inline duct fans and whole-house ventilation. We stock the Manrose MF-series inline mixed flow duct fans in 100mm (4-inch), 125mm (5-inch) and 150mm (6-inch) sizes, delivering airflow rates from 245 m³/h up to 500 m³/h. The MF-series fans combine axial and centrifugal airflow characteristics for higher pressure than a standard axial fan of the same size, making them suited to ducted extract in bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and light commercial spaces. All three models are in stock with next-day delivery and trade pricing. Call us on 0161 399 3825 for specification advice on any Manrose product.
What Manrose fans do you stock?
We stock three Manrose MF-series inline mixed flow duct fans covering the three most common residential and light commercial duct sizes. The MF100S is a 100mm (4-inch) inline fan delivering up to 245 m³/h, the MF125S is a 125mm (5-inch) model delivering up to 310 m³/h, and the MF150S is a 150mm (6-inch) model delivering up to 500 m³/h. All three run on single-phase AC motors and are speed-controllable via a standard TRIAC or thyristor controller. The MF-series is a mixed-flow design, meaning it generates more static pressure than a standard axial inline fan — useful for longer duct runs or installations with bends.
What is a mixed flow inline fan?
A mixed flow inline fan combines the high airflow of an axial fan with the higher pressure generation of a centrifugal fan. The impeller blades are angled so that air moves both axially (along the duct) and radially (outward), creating a pressure boost that standard axial fans cannot match without increasing noise or size. This makes mixed flow fans the best choice for ducted extract runs of 3 metres or more, or installations with two or more bends, where a standard axial fan would lose too much airflow to duct resistance. The Manrose MF-series sits in standard circular ductwork and connects the same way as any other inline fan — no special fittings needed.
Which Manrose MF fan do I need?
Match the fan to your duct size: MF100S for 100mm (4-inch) duct, MF125S for 125mm (5-inch) duct, and MF150S for 150mm (6-inch) duct. For a single bathroom or en-suite with a duct run under 3 metres and one or two bends, the MF100S at 245 m³/h is more than enough. For a larger bathroom, utility room or kitchen with a longer duct run, the MF125S at 310 m³/h gives more headroom. The MF150S at 500 m³/h suits larger kitchens, commercial toilets or any application where 150mm ductwork is already installed. All three are speed-controllable, so you can reduce airflow for quieter operation when full capacity is not needed. Contact us at hello@efans.co.uk with your duct size and run length if you need help choosing.
Can I use a Manrose MF fan as a replacement for another inline fan?
Yes — the MF-series uses standard circular duct connections in 100mm, 125mm and 150mm sizes, so any existing inline fan of the same duct diameter can be replaced with the equivalent MF model. If you are replacing an axial inline fan (such as a basic duct booster) with an MF mixed flow fan, you will typically get better performance on the same duct run because mixed flow fans generate higher static pressure. The MF-series also works as a like-for-like replacement for other mixed flow inline fans from brands such as Xpelair XIMX, S&P TD MIXVENT or Systemair KVK in the same duct sizes.
