Frequently asked questions
What size hose clip do I need?
Match the clip to the outside diameter of the joint. For flex on a spigot, that is the outside of the flex once it is pushed over the spigot, which is a little larger than the nominal duct size. If you are between sizes, go up one.
Do I need a clip on every flexible duct joint?
Yes. A push fit alone will not hold flexible ducting securely, so clip every joint where flex meets a spigot, fan, valve or terminal. Tape the joint as well if it needs to be fully air tight.
What are clip band and quick release locks for?
HCB clip band comes in a 30 metre roll that you cut to length, and QRL locks turn each piece into a quick release clip. They are ideal for unusual sizes, very large ducts or joints that need to come apart for regular maintenance.
What are the clips made from?
