The Systemair DHS DS is a range of three-phase centrifugal roof-mounted extract fans available in multiple sizes from 400mm to 710mm. Each model uses a backward-curved impeller and external rotor motor to move very high air volumes at medium pressure with a low sound level, built for large commercial and industrial extract.
All DS models run on 400V AC motors with D/Y connection for two speeds and horizontal discharge, and are fully speed controllable over the voltage. Speed control with a frequency converter needs an all-pole sine filter. The motor uses external leads for a protection device, and the aluminium casing suits coastal applications.
