The Turboflow TF is a two stage axial fan which has been specifically developed to tackle higher pressure requirements with a straightforward, efficient and definitive approach.
Installation
Motors are wired via a weatherproofed cable to an IP55 protected terminal box mounted on the outside of the unit casing for ease of electrical connection.
Design
High efficiency adjustable pitch aerofoil impellers are provided with blades made from high quality pressure die cast aluminium. Increased blade chord and twist provides 7% higher efficiency reducing overall energy consumption. The use of contra-rotating impellers allow operation at higher pressures within a smaller fan diameter.

What is a contra-rotating axial fan and why does the TF450 have two stages?
It uses two impellers spinning in opposite directions, one behind the other. The second stage recovers the swirl from the first, so the fan develops much higher static pressure (up to 330 Pa on the TF450) than a single-stage axial of the same 450 mm diameter, making it ideal for long or high-resistance duct runs.
What airflow and pressure does the Turboflow TF450 deliver?
It moves up to 7452 m³/h and develops up to 330 Pa of static pressure at maximum duty. Actual airflow depends on the resistance of your ductwork, so send us your system pressure and we'll confirm the duty point.
Can the TF450 be speed controlled?
Yes. It runs on a single-phase AC supply and can be run at reduced speed with a compatible controller. The fan is rated up to +50°C.
Can the Turboflow TF450 be installed outdoors?
Yes. The motor is wired via a weatherproof cable to an externally mounted IP55 terminal box, so the fan is suitable for internal or external use. Position it so the terminal box and any controller stay accessible for maintenance.
What are the impellers made from?
High-efficiency adjustable-pitch aerofoil impellers with blades in pressure die-cast aluminium. The increased blade chord and twist give around 7% higher efficiency, reducing running costs over the life of the fan.
How do I choose between the TF450, TF500, TF560 and TF630?
They step up in diameter and duty, with larger cases moving more air at higher pressure. Pick the size from your required airflow and system resistance. If you're between sizes or unsure, send us the duty and duct size and we'll confirm the right model.
