Aluminium vs stainless steel cost
Material is the second biggest cost lever after size. Aluminium is the default for most projects: it is lightweight, corrosion resistant, powder-coatable to any colour and the most economical choice. Stainless steel costs more, but for coastal, marine or chemically exposed sites the extra durability of 304 or 316 grade is worth it.
