Roof Fans
63 products
Roof-mounted extract fans are the simplest way to extract air from a building — no ductwork needed on the discharge side, which reduces installation cost and system resistance. They're standard on commercial kitchens, warehouses, factories, retail units, and any building where the exhaust can discharge directly to atmosphere.
Vertical discharge vs horizontal discharge
Vertical discharge fans exhaust air straight up. They're the most common type and work well in most applications. However, they can cause issues near air intake points on taller adjacent buildings — the exhaust plume rises and can be drawn back in.
Horizontal discharge fans (sometimes called mushroom fans or centrifugal roof units) throw the exhaust air outwards and downwards, dispersing it more quickly. They're the better choice near building boundaries, where vertical discharge could cause re-entrainment, or in areas with planning restrictions on visible roof equipment.
Key specification considerations
Roof fans must be matched to a compatible roof curb (the mounting base that sits on the roof and provides weatherproofing). Always check the curb dimensions match your existing or planned opening. For kitchen extraction, ensure the fan is rated for grease-laden air and elevated temperatures — a standard roof fan used on a kitchen extract will be a fire risk.
How to choose the right roof fan
Selecting the right rooftop fan is critical to maintaining consistent airflow and energy efficiency across your project. Our range is designed to match your building’s airflow requirements, roof type (flat or pitched), and exposure to wind and weather.
With various capacities and materials on offer, our roof fans can be specified to suit your exact application, ensuring optimal comfort, lower running costs, and alignment with ventilation and building regulations. For high‑volume duties or challenging conditions, our more robust units—or a combination of multiple fans—can meet the demand without compromising performance.
Benefits of our roof fans
Our roof fans enhance ventilation efficiency while helping you reduce energy costs. They remove warm, stale air from roof level, limit condensation, and support better indoor air quality in offices, warehouses, factories, and industrial facilities. Built for durability with corrosion‑resistant finishes, our units require minimal maintenance. By improving airflow distribution, our roof fans boost occupant comfort and help protect building fabric from moisture‑related damage.
Our roof fan applications and compatibility
Our roof fans are versatile solutions for commercial, industrial, and multi‑residential projects. They can be installed on warehouses, factories, sports halls, and office complexes to support existing HVAC systems or operate as standalone ventilation units. Our models handle both supply and extract duties and integrate seamlessly with ducted or inline systems. Choosing the right fan from our range ensures even coverage, avoids under‑ventilated zones, and keeps energy use under control.
