How does a MEV system work?
A continuous Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) unit sits centrally, usually in a loft or cupboard, and quietly extracts stale, humid air from wet rooms (kitchen, bathrooms, WCs) through ducts, expelling it outside. Running continuously, it controls moisture and pollutants across the whole home.
What does the humidity sensor do?
This model has a built-in humidity sensor, so the unit automatically boosts its speed when humidity reaches a set threshold, clearing moisture quickly after showers or cooking, then returning to trickle speed.
How is it different from the standard MVDC-MS?
The MSH adds an integral humidistat and a digital display, plus a longer 7-year warranty. If you don't need automatic humidity boost, the standard MVDC-MS (437634C) is the option.
How much air does it move?
It has three fully variable speeds (normal, boost and purge) and can extract up to 118 l/s, set precisely via the digital display for the exact ventilation rate you need.
