The 600mm Square Intumescent Air Transfer Fire Block is a high-performance air transfer grille for doors, walls and ducts that gives good airflow and quiet operation in normal use, then seals the aperture in a fire. It has no moving parts: the intumescent core expands in heat to form an incombustible mass that blocks the spread of fire and hot smoke.
Slim at 38mm thick with roughly 60% free area, it is tested in timber doors rated up to 60 minutes and in walls and ductwork rated up to 120 minutes. Finished in black/grey, it needs little maintenance beyond an occasional wipe with a damp cloth.
