The Elta SLC355/4-3AC is a 355mm Revolution long cased axial fan and the 355mm four pole three phase model. It moves up to 1807 m³/h at free air and 1238 m³/h against 75 Pa, from a 4 pole three phase AC motor running at 1485 rpm.
The casing is heavy gauge steel, hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 and suitable for external mounting, with a die cast aluminium aerofoil impeller. The motor is IP55 with sealed for life bearings, wired to an IP55 terminal box on the outside of the case. The IE2 motor is designed for use with a frequency inverter and can also run on a 149-TC33 transformer controller. Elta give a 12 month warranty.

What it is best used for
Low pressure three phase ventilation in tight spaces: plant rooms, switch rooms, small workshops, stores and agricultural buildings. It moves 1807 m³/h at free air on 0.123 kW, at 44 dB(A) at 3m.
Its table stops at 75 Pa (1238 m³/h), so keep duct runs short. Note it is a 355mm fan: the Elta matching flange is 061B-0355, not the 350mm flange.
Why choose this over alternatives
It moves about 25% more air than the Elta SLC315/4-3AC (1440 m³/h) for almost the same power. If you need a bigger step, the Elta SLC400/4-3AC jumps to 4968 m³/h and 100 Pa.
On single phase, the Elta SLC355-1EC gives 2254 m³/h at full speed and reaches 150 Pa with 0 to 10V control.
Installation notes
- Mount at any angle, horizontally in a duct run or vertically, and make sure the fan is adequately supported: it weighs 19 kg. AV mounts and mounting feet are available from Elta.
- The flanges are 425mm outside diameter with 8 holes of 10mm on a 395mm PCD. Use Elta matching flanges and flexible connectors to join it to ductwork.
- Fit a local isolator, and protect the motor with a starter or controller that has overload protection; fuses and breakers only give short circuit protection. Do not use the isolator for day to day on and off control.
- Supplied star (Y) connected for a 400V three phase supply, wiring diagram 152-600. The installation manual shows it reconnected to delta when run from a single phase to three phase inverter.
- Not suitable for corrosive or explosive atmospheres. Inspect and clean the impeller, motor and guards at least every 12 months.

What size duct does the Elta SLC355/4-3AC fit?
It is a 355mm fan with 355mm inside the casing. The flanges are 425mm outside diameter with 8 holes of 10mm on a 395mm PCD, and the case is 375mm long.
How much air does it move?
Up to 1807 m³/h (0.502 m³/s) at free air, falling to 1238 m³/h at 75 Pa, the highest pressure in Elta's table for this model.
Is the SLC355/4-3AC single or three phase?
Three phase, 380-415V 50Hz, star connected as supplied. Peak current is 0.67 A.
Can I control the speed of the SLC355/4-3AC?
Yes. Elta list the 149-TC33 three phase transformer controller, or an Eltadrive inverter: 149-ODE3-14075-3KA1B on a three phase supply or 149-ODE3-12037-1KB1B from single phase (motor reconnected to delta, per the installation manual).
How noisy is it?
44 dB(A) at 3m in free field, per Elta's data. Elta offer podded and unpodded silencers in 1D and 2D lengths for this size if you need it quieter.
Can it be mounted outside or vertically?
Yes. The galvanised casing is suitable for external mounting as standard and the fan can be mounted at any angle. For explosive atmospheres you need the ATEX rated Elta SLCX range instead.
