What it is best used for
Medium commercial extract and supply on a single phase supply with 450mm ductwork: restaurant and commercial kitchen extract behind a filtered canopy, lift motor rooms, plant rooms, warehouse offices and general HVAC. It holds 3337 m³/h at 100 Pa and 2596 m³/h at 200 Pa.
The curve falls away after 250 Pa (518 m³/h at 300 Pa), so for high resistance systems or anything much over 3500 m³/h choose the SMB550 instead.

Installation notes
- Mount the fan at any angle in the duct run, securely supported, and leave access for maintenance. It weighs 23 kg.
- Connect with the 450mm Ductmate flanges at each end. Elta's flexible connectors (063-0450-MFB) and anti vibration mounts (062-002) reduce transmitted noise and vibration.
- Wire to Elta diagram 152-104A on a 230V single phase supply. The thermal cut out terminals (TB) must be connected into the control circuit, and Elta specify the 149-TC14 transformer controller for speed control.
- Fit a means of isolation and earth the fan. Fuses and breakers only give short circuit protection, so Elta advise a starter with overload protection for the motor. Check rotation, airflow direction and running current on first start.
- Not for corrosive or explosive atmospheres. Locate the discharge away from open flues, and inspect and clean the impeller and motor at least every 12 months.
