Vent-Axia

Frequently asked questions

What Vent-Axia extractor fans do you stock?

We stock Vent-Axia extractor fans for bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and commercial applications. The bathroom extractor fan range includes the Solo Plus, a compact centrifugal fan in 100mm and 150mm sizes with pullcord, timer or humidistat variants, and the Multivent (MVDC/MVPS series) for installations where a low-profile body and flexible mounting are needed. Both are IP45-rated and suitable for all bathroom zones when installed to BS 7671. For kitchens and ducted extract, the ACM100 and ACM100T inline duct fans handle runs where a wall-mounted fan does not suit the layout. The range also includes ceiling fans, window fans, centrifugal fans and plate axial fans for commercial and industrial ventilation. Call us on 0161 399 3825 to find the right Vent-Axia fan for your application.

What is the Vent-Axia Lo Carbon range?

The Vent-Axia Lo Carbon range is a family of low-energy ventilation products built around EC motors and low specific fan power (SFP) ratings, designed to meet or exceed the energy efficiency requirements of Building Regulations Part L. Lo Carbon products include the Centra T and Revive bathroom extractor fans, the Svara app-controlled bathroom fan, the Lo Carbon Selv range for safer low-voltage bathroom installations, and Lo Carbon variants of the Sentinel Kinetic MVHR units. The Lo Carbon silent fan models, including the Svara and Silent Fan, are designed for noise-sensitive rooms, with sound levels as low as 17 dBA on the lowest setting. If you are looking for a Vent-Axia silent fan or a low-energy extractor, the Lo Carbon range is the starting point.

What is the Vent-Axia ACM100T?

The Vent-Axia ACM100T is a 100mm mixed-flow inline duct fan with a built-in overrun timer. It sits inside the duct run rather than at the wall or ceiling, making it suited to kitchen extract, utility rooms and single-room commercial applications where a wall-mounted fan does not fit the layout. The ACM100T delivers up to 300 m³/h airflow and is speed-controllable. It is one of the most-searched Vent-Axia products in the UK, and we stock it with next-day delivery alongside the standard ACM100 continuous-running variant. The ACM series is also used in whole-house MEV configurations where multiple extract points feed into a central duct system. For larger duct sizes, the SDX150 and SDX250 inline centrifugal fans cover 150mm and 250mm applications.

What Vent-Axia MVHR and heat recovery units do you stock?

We stock the Vent-Axia Sentinel Kinetic range of MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) units, which ventilate the entire property while recovering up to 95% of the heat from outgoing stale air. The Sentinel Kinetic Plus B is the standard residential unit for semi-detached and detached homes with ductwork routed through ceiling voids. The Sentinel Kinetic HR100R is a compact low-profile unit for flats and smaller properties where space is limited. The Sentinel Kinetic HR500 provides higher airflow capacity for larger homes or properties with longer duct runs and more rooms. All Sentinel Kinetic units require a full duct distribution network and are best suited to new builds or major renovations, they are not a retrofit solution. For specification advice on Vent-Axia heat recovery units, contact us at hello@efans.co.uk or browse our full MVHR range.

What is the Vent-Axia PoziDry Pro PIV system?

The Vent-Axia PoziDry Pro is a loft-mounted Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) system, the most widely installed PIV unit in UK residential properties. It draws fresh filtered air from the loft space and distributes it into the home via a single hallway ceiling diffuser, creating gentle positive pressure that reduces indoor humidity and prevents condensation and mould. The PoziDry Pro range includes standard (unheated) and heater variants, the heater model is recommended for most UK homes as it warms incoming loft air in winter before it enters the living space. A Compact Pro variant is available for smaller properties or lofts with limited headroom, and a Multi Storey variant provides higher airflow for larger homes. PIV is a retrofit-friendly whole-house ventilation solution that does not require ductwork to individual rooms. Read our PIV buying guide or browse the full PoziDry range.

Are Vent-Axia filters and spare parts available?

Yes, we stock replacement filters, speed controllers and accessories for the main Vent-Axia product lines including PoziDry Pro PIV filters and Sentinel Kinetic MVHR filters. Filter replacement is part of the routine maintenance schedule for both PIV and MVHR units, PIV filters typically need replacing every two to five years, and MVHR filters every six to twelve months depending on usage and local air quality. We also carry Vent-Axia speed controllers, wired remote controllers and mounting accessories. Use the product name or model number to search our Vent-Axia range, or try our Filter Finder tool to match the correct replacement filter to your unit.

Where can I buy Vent-Axia fans in the UK?

You can buy Vent-Axia fans online from eFans, a UK ventilation supplier with around 140 Vent-Axia products listed, including Lo-Carbon and Solo Plus extractor fans, ACM inline duct fans, Multivent fans, Sentinel MVHR units, PoziDry PIV units, controllers and filters. Stocked items ship across the UK, with standard delivery in 2 to 3 working days or next working day delivery when you order before 12pm Monday to Thursday. Business customers can apply for a 30-day credit account, and we quote on project quantities.

What if my Vent-Axia fan is obsolete?

Vent-Axia updates its ranges regularly, so many older fans are no longer made. To find a replacement, read the rating plate and match the duct diameter, airflow, phase and mounting rather than the model name alone, because a newer model in the same size can move more or less air. For inline duct fans the ACM mixed flow range is the usual modern choice. Send us a photo of the rating plate through the contact page or call 0161 399 3825 and we will match a current model.
